The indoor swimming pool "Zoran Džimi Gopčević" is this week - April 7, the meeting place within the project "Social Inclusion in Montenegro", for the thirteenth time in a row.
As before, two groups take turns at the pool, namely elderly people and people with physical disabilities, as well as patients housed in ZU Special Hospital for Psychiatry "Dobrota" Kotor at 10:30 a.m., followed by school-age children and children with disabilities from 11:30 am.
From Sunday to Sunday, starting from January 28, we are witnessing an increasing interest in these events, as well as the effects achieved both by exercises and by the interaction of different social groups.
We confirmed that in our city there is an awareness of the importance of inclusion, which was contributed by many actors and institutions - the management and staff of the "Zoran Džimi Gopčević" Indoor Swimming Pool, the "Grabovac" Home for the Elderly, the "Dr. Peruta Ivanović" Resource Center for Hearing and Speech ", ZU Special Hospital for Psychiatry "Dobrota".
Of course, all of the above would not have been possible without the work of experts - Dr. Kaće Tomčuk, physiatrist, and Miljan Nikčević, specialist in applied physiotherapy.
As we approach the fifteenth and final swimming event, we invite you to follow the Instagram profile of the ISM Community (@ism_communityhub), where all news about the further implementation of the project will be regularly published and updated.
