As part of the "Social Inclusion in Montenegro" project, one of the activities is the organization of a series of events, dedicated to different categories of vulnerable groups, at the "Zoran Džimi Gopčević" indoor swimming pool.

This morning, the first swimming event dedicated to the elderly was held at the indoor pool, and there were ten participants.

This event is organized in cooperation with the Home for the Elderly 'Grabovac' Risan and Day care for the elderly and disabled in Rakite.

The participants of the first, as well as other groups arranged according to the Calendar of Events, will have the opportunity to do exercises in the pool under the guidance and supervision of a professional - a physiotherapist, with adjustments to help with range of motion or strength, depending on the general condition, needs, as well as symptoms of the group of trainees.

Let us remind you that in the previous year the Municipality of Kotor started the implementation of the project "Social Inclusion in Montenegro" financially supported by the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in accordance with the Law of the FVG Region dated October 30, 2000, No. 19.

The main goal of the project is the implementation of activities aimed at the inclusion and social integration of vulnerable groups, especially people with disabilities whose physical and sensory abilities are impaired in the long term.

The same will be realized to the greatest extent through sports practice, with the aim of sensori-motor and psychophysical recovery, promoting physical activity as rehabilitation, educational and social practice according to socio-health protocols.

The project is based on assumptions related to the importance of motor skills and physical activity as a practice not only for rehabilitation, but also because of its essential educational and social value, as a tool for improving the quality of life and health protection and as a means for social integration;
